How to Participate
Participating in the NTCIR19-Lifelog task involves several steps. Follow the process below to ensure a smooth participation experience.
- Task Guidelines & Dataset Release (
January 2026): Task guidelines and datasets (Lifelog + CASTLE) were released inJanuary 2026. - Choose Your Dataset(s): Decide which dataset(s) you plan to use based on the sub-tasks you want to participate in. Indicate your choice during registration so we can provide appropriate access and support.
- Complete Agreement Forms: For the Lifelog dataset, complete and submit the required agreement forms (Organisation Agreement Form and Individual Agreement Forms) to ntcir.lifelog.dcu@gmail.com.
- Download the Dataset: After registration and form completion, you will receive access details to download the dataset(s).
- Test Your System: Use the dry run topics (available for LSAT and CSAT only) to test and develop your system. Note: There is no formal dry run phase or submission period.
- Formal Run Phase (
April–August 2026): Submit your formal runs according to the submission guidelines during this period. - Register by Deadline (
July 10, 2026): Ensure you are registered by the registration deadline onJuly 10, 2026. - LSAT Score Run portal open (
August 21, 2026): Upload LSAT runs and download evaluation reports on the Score Run page. - CSAT Score Run portal open (
August 25, 2026): Upload CSAT runs on the same Score Run page (multiple files supported). - CAST-Seg / Recipe Generation Score Run (
September 7, 2026): Opened on the same Score Run page onSeptember 7, 2026. - Participant papers draft (
September 1, 2026September 15, 2026): Submit your draft participant paper bySeptember 1, 2026September 15, 2026. Please cite the Lifelog-7 overview paper (BibTeX on the Resources page). - Camera-Ready Papers (November 2026): Submit your final camera-ready paper (8 pages maximum).
- Conference (December 2026): Attend the NTCIR-19 Conference in Tokyo, Japan (in-person or online).
Registration
All participants must register through the official NTCIR-19 website. During registration, please indicate:
- Which sub-task(s) you plan to participate in
- Which dataset(s) you plan to use
- Your organization and team members
Dataset Access
Access to datasets is provided after registration and completion of required forms. For detailed information about dataset access, please see the Datasets page.
How to cite the overview paper
Participant papers must cite the NTCIR-19 Lifelog-7 overview:
